Disclosure services
Rossetti Care is registered with the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) as an "Umbrella Body". This enables us to countersign and process disclosure applications at the request of employing organisations.
The aim of the disclosure service is to reduce the risk of abuse by ensuring that those who are unsuitable do not work with children and vulnerable adults.
We will need to know whether applicants need a "Standard" or "Enhanced" disclosure and whether the post involves "working with children" or "regular contact with vulnerable adults". We will also need confirmation of the designated person in your organisation who should be informed of the results of the Disclosure check.
The Disclosure check can take between two to four weeks, but may take longer. A copy of the result will be sent to the applicant and to SCA as the registered body. SCA will notify the result only to a nominated person at the employing organisation.
We have a good record in getting disclosures turned around quickly and, when the CRB is experiencing difficulties, we can apply for a check to determine that a prospective worker is not on the Protection of Vulnerable Adults register. This "POVAFirst" takes as little as 48 hours. Once you have received a POVAFirst clearance you are able to start a worker, subject to a full disclosure.
